Gas logs sit in your existing firebox and are mostly about the look of the fire. An insert is a sealed unit that slides into the opening and is far more efficient. We will look at your fireplace, explain the options that are safe for it, and recommend the right fit.

Not always. The firebox, chimney and damper all need to be suitable, and some prefab fireplaces are only rated for specific log sets. We check before we recommend anything.
Vented logs need an open damper and produce the most realistic flame. Vent-free logs burn more efficiently with the damper closed but have room-size and usage limits. We help you pick the right one for your home.
